2023 PETS Chair:  Marcia Loughman
Marcia was born in Buffalo, NY. The oldest of three children, Marcia graduated from Kenmore East High in Tonawanda, NY. Marcia graduated from Springfield College, with a BS in Community Leadership and Development and a M.Ed. in Guidance and Psychological Services and holds an
MBA in Management and Cost Accounting from the University of Hartford, CT.
 
Her early career, she worked for Springfield College in Student Services as a Dorm Director, for Family Planning of Western MA, and for Monson State Hospital, Monson, MA. She became a Psychological Counselor for Valley Human Services, Inc. As Director of Human Services, she helped this agency grow services in this rural community to include mental health services, legal aid services, foster care, court youth services, Pre-School Day Care Services, and an Alternative Secondary School. A year later she moved to Fresno, California and accepted a position in Production Management with French's Mustard.
 
The next 30+ years provided her opportunities to work at David and Sons Sunflower Seed; Nestle Chocolates in New York State; Manage a Nestle Sugar Confectionery Factory in Australia; Manage the Nescafe Factory for Nestle Canada; Operations Improvement Teams for Nestle USA and Canada operations; Manage Operations, Quality, and Safety for Gertrude Hawk Chocolates, and Factory Manager at Altadis, a division of Imperial Tobacco Company. Marcia was inducted into the Rotary Club of Wendouree Breakfast , Ballarat, Victoria, and continued serving in the following clubs: Glendale Sunrise; La Canada-Flintridge, Glendale, CA; Chesterville Rotary Club, Canada (President ’05-’06), and now North Scranton Rotary.
 
She served District 7410 as Assistant Governor, prior to District Governor 2016-2017. Recently retired, she served as District Foundation Chair from 2019-2022; Council on Legislation Representative 2019-2022; and ls serving as Mid NE PETS Chair for 2023.
 
Marcia is married to Joseph Loughman (North Scranton Rotary Club member and DG 2020-2021) and together they enjoy a family of 7 children, spouses, 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
